Our Story…
Back in 2012, I started my journey with a seasonal business in Cornwall. Like many small businesses, I relied on a generic website builder at first, and let’s just say it wasn’t the smoothest ride. The site was poor and invisible in search results, and it quickly dawned on me the reality of how competitive being in business is.
We all face the same SEO struggles as a small business – limited budgets, technical headaches, and a deepening mistrust of “quick-fix” solutions.
Once I realised that a website needs more than just a good design – it needs optimising – I dove headfirst into the world of SEO. I experimented, hired, fired, and learned as much as I could along the way. After countless attempts and investing in both big and small SEO companies, I went through some tough, and often expensive, lessons. Slowly, I began to grasp the technical jargon, the process, and the small but crucial details needed to steer a website in the right direction.
Over the past 10 years, through building websites, learning SEO to save costs, and hiring experts where I could, I also gained an insider’s view of how large SEO companies operate and, more importantly, what truly works to see real, tangible results.
That’s how Thrive SEO came to be – years down the line, my initial business is thriving, and opening doors to new ventures. Thrive SEO is one of those exciting new paths, born out of my journey and hard-earned experience. I’m here to share what I’ve learned with businesses that could use a helping hand from someone who’s been in their shoes.
